Adhiambo Lucy Felister is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and the Human Resource Manager. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL. B) degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, a master’s degree in international relations and diplomacy from Kenyatta University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law, and a Diploma in International Relations and Diplomacy from Riara University.

Felister is currently pursuing the Certified Secretary (CS) qualification and is a PhD Candidate in Public Policy at Kenyatta University, further broadening her expertise in governance, policy, and institutional management.

As an Advocate, Felister provides legal advisory services, drafts and reviews contracts, prepares pleadings, and represents clients before courts. She has experience in civil and commercial matters, employment law, and corporate compliance, ensuring that clients receive sound, practical, and timely legal solutions.

At Swanyalaw Advocates, Felister combines her legal expertise with strategic human resource management to foster organizational growth and efficiency. Her responsibilities include overseeing staff recruitment and development, performance management, employee relations, ensuring compliance with labour and employment laws, drafting and implementing HR policies, training and development, organizational strategy and culture and providing legal and administrative support to the firm’s leadership.

Drawing on her background in International Relations and Diplomacy, Felister has a keen interest in international law and dispute resolution. She has published commentary on the Kenya-Somalia maritime dispute and on the use of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in international conflicts, underscoring her dedication to progressive, practical, and peace-oriented approaches to conflict management.
