Dr. Victor Swanya Ogeto is the Founder and Managing Partner at Swanyalaw Advocates. A distinguished Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. Dr. Swanya brings to the firm a wealth of multidisciplinary experience spanning law, business, governance, and Management. With an illustrious career that began in enterprise and later evolved into law and policy.
Dr. Swanya established himself as a respected leader in corporate, commercial, and international business law. His practice focuses on transactional advisory, investment structuring, project finance, and dispute resolution. He is also recognized for his strategic management sharpness, providing visionary leadership in organizational development and operational excellence.
Dr. Swanya holds an LL.M. in International Business Law from the University of Cumbria (UK), a Bachelor of Laws (LL. B), Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Nairobi, and a Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration from the United States International University (USIU–Africa). He is currently completing an M.Sc. in Investment Economics and Finance at KCA University and has been awarded a Doctorate honoris causa by the University of Zoe, USA.
Beyond the legal field, Dr. Swanya has served in key national and public sector roles, including Director at the Kenya Maritime Authority, Governor of Kenya Utalii College, and Member of the Nairobi City County Legal Bills Scrutiny Committee. He has also contributed to national policy development through taskforces such as the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB).
A philanthropist and community leader, Dr. Swanya founded the Swanya Foundation, which has provided education bursaries to over 400 students across Kenya. He also serves as Chairman of the Chrisco Trustee Board and has held leadership roles in various civic and faith-based organizations.
