Swanyalaw Advocates is offering an exciting pupillage opportunity for talented and motivated trainee lawyers who have completed the Kenya School of Law. Our pupillage program provides a structured pathway or practical training, mentorship and exposure to diverse areas of legal practice.
As a pupil at Swanyalaw, you will work closely with experienced advocates, contribute to real cases, and actively participate in the firm’s growth and success. We are committed to providing equal opportunities or learning and professional development to all our trainees.
Responsibilities
- Assist Advocates in drafting pleadings, agreements, contracts, and other legal documents across various practice areas.
- Conduct legal research, legal drafting and prepare case summaries, opinions or reports.
- Attend court proceedings, client consultations and strategy meetings.
- Support advocates in all aspects of case management.
- Contribute ideas to improve workflow, client service and firm initiatives.
- Stay updated od developments in Kenyan Law and practice areas relevant to the firm.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized university.
- Completion of the Advocates Training Programme (ATP) at the Kenya School of Law.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work in a dynamic legal environment.
- Technology savvy.
- Exposure to legal research and drafting.
- Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills.
